About Dr. Lang

Dr. Lin Yang received her doctorate in epidemiology with a focus on physical activity and public health, and natural experiments in active transport research from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2012.

She completed two years of postdoctoral training in the Transdisciplinary Research on Energetics and Cancer (TREC) Center of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. There she investigated the role of physical activity and obesity in cancer survivorship with an aim to improve clinical practice. She also worked on a population-based cohort study in the UK (the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer, the EPIC–Norfolk study) and a large database in the U.S., the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
