BASSET Interactive Training Module Curriculum

Abstract

The University of Illinois at Chicago Health Research and Policy Centers ImpacTeen Project will develop an interactive training module for the Illinois Liquor Control Commission reflecting research-based model server/seller training programs, including research conducted by UIC-ImpacTeen partners. This training module will offer local government authorities an opportunity to educate owners/managers and servers and sellers of alcoholic beverages and products, and created in a format that can easily be transferred to the World Wide Web. It is UIC's intention to develop an ILCC Server/Seller Training Program curriculum that will keep the user interested while learning the information presented at a reasonable pace, and will be developed for later, easy integration of audio narration, graphic images, and animations highlighting important key points, keeping in mind that computer-based interactivity techniques will be used throughout the training module in strategic places to illustrate key points and ideas with the use of rollovers, pop-ups or new screens.
