Training at IHRP: Overview

The UIC Institute for Health Research and Policy is home to several training programs funded by the National Institutes of Health. Depending on openings within the programs, applications are considered in the following areas:

Cancer Education and Career Development [1]

Clinical Research Training [2]

Gerontological Public Health Training Program [3]

Prevention Research Training Program [4]

Other Fellowship Opportunities

The IHRP also supports trainees in these programs:

CDC Prevention Research Center Minority Fellowship Program [5]
This program funds four fellowships for minority doctoral students nationwide each year. The Illinois Prevention Research Center, housed at the institute, is qualified to nominate and host fellows in this program.

Illinois Public Health Research Fellowship Program [6]
Several IHRP-affiliated faculty teach or mentor trainees in this program.
