Duration of fellowship: Up to 4 years for full-time students in a UIC doctoral program; 2 to 3 years for postdoctoral fellows

Eligibility: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Doctoral students who have passed their preliminary exams will be considered for predoctoral fellowships. Candidates for postdoctoral fellowships must have completed a research-oriented doctoral degree in any of the social or health sciences.

Compensation: Predoctoral fellows receive an annual stipend (determined by the NIA annually) plus a tuition waiver, health benefits, travel support, and research expenses. 
Postdoctoral fellows receive an annual stipend (determined by the NIA annually) with reimbursement for health insurance and yearly travel support. Additional financial support is also available.
 
Amenities: All postdoctoral fellows are provided with office space, a computer, phone, and access to university resources through the Center for Research on Health and Aging and can consult with the IHRP Methodology Research Core about their research.
